GoalSoon does not require account registration. We do not collect your name, email address, or password. The only data you actively provide is:

Push notification consent — If you opt in to push notifications, your browser generates an anonymous push subscription token. This token identifies your browser session, not you personally, and is used only to deliver match event notifications.

2.2 Data Collected Automatically

When you use GoalSoon, we and our third-party providers may automatically collect:

IP address — Used for anonymous analytics (country-level) and abuse prevention. Not stored permanently.
Browser type and version — Collected anonymously via Google Analytics to optimise the app for popular browsers.
Pages visited and time spent — Anonymous usage patterns via Google Analytics to understand which features are most useful.
Referral source — How you arrived at GoalSoon (e.g., Google search, direct link, social media).
Device type — Mobile, tablet, or desktop, used to optimise the layout.

2.3 Local Storage (On Your Device Only)

GoalSoon uses your browser's local storage to save preferences on your device. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

We share limited data with the following third-party service providers who help us operate GoalSoon:

Google Analytics

Google AdSense

GoalSoon displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website or other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting google.com/settings/ads.

API-Football

Our football data provider (API-Football / RapidAPI) receives the match IDs we query but does not receive any of your personal data. API-Football's data is sourced from public football league data.

Anthropic (Claude AI)

AI match analyses are generated using Anthropic's Claude API. We send match data (team names, statistics, form) to Anthropic's servers to generate analysis text. We do not send any user personal data to Anthropic. Anthropic's privacy policy: anthropic.com/privacy.

5. Cookies

GoalSoon uses the following categories of cookies:

Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are required for the Service to function and cannot be disabled. They include service worker caching for offline functionality and session management.

Analytics Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga, _gid, _ga_*) to identify unique sessions and measure usage patterns. These cookies are set only with your consent.

Advertising Cookies

Google AdSense sets cookies to serve relevant advertisements. These cookies are set only with your consent and may track your browsing behaviour across websites to personalise ads.

6. Data Retention

We retain data for the minimum period necessary:

Push subscription tokens — Retained until you unsubscribe or the token expires (typically browser session duration)
Server access logs — Retained for 30 days for security and debugging purposes, then deleted
Google Analytics data — Retained for 14 months per Google's default settings
Local storage data — Retained on your device until you clear it

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our server uses HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit. We do not store sensitive personal data on our servers.
